Meet our founder Lizelle Joubert.  Accomplished owner and experienced director with a demonstrated history of working in the real estate industry.
Skilled in Sellers, Negotiation, Customer Service, Sales, and Real Estate Development. Strong professional graduated from Wessel Maree High School, Odendaalsrus, Free State.

First established in 2007 as Magic Cottage Properties Pty (Ltd), and later in 2016 successfully rebranded to Lizelle Joubert Property Group.
Under the leadership by owner Lizelle, our company has evolved into a leading real estate company in Gauteng with over 13 years experience in the local real estate business.

Previously Lizelle has worked in the Micro finance industry as branch manager for 15 years.  She successfully started up the branch and increased the client base to the point where additional personnel were required.  At this point business became more formalized and she had been the BCF Sasolburg branch manager ever since.  Under her supervision and advice the branch became very profitable and won numerous awards for best branch of the month, highest profits, and managed to exceed a number of yearly targets set by management.  During the 3 years thereafter her branch also received the best audits in the region.  Due to limited positions in the company and her responsibilities towards her children’s extramural activities, she was not able to apply for positions out of town.  Lizelle could therefore not move up the corporate ladder and then decided to enroll at Unisa for her BA General degree.  The subjects adopted and passed were Argeology, Anthropology, Geography, Tourism, Afrikaans literature, Biblical Argeology and HIV/AIDS counselling.  During this period she has worked with people at all levels of society and learned how to deal with challenges, not only typical to the finance industry, but also those of people in need in general.

Lizelle further realized that she could do better than to stagnate as branch manager and started up a new business again, but this time for herself.

She served as an intern over the period 1994 and 1995 at Marietjie Steyn Properties in Vaalpark and was reasonably successful as an agent for someone else. It was then that Lizelle saw an opportunity and decided to enter the property market once again.

In 2007, she established the company Magic Cottage Properties Pty Ltd. and started advertising her business, listing properties and taking out clients after hours.  Although this was the time when the property market was in a slump, she still managed to get the business off the ground and in 2009 she negotiated for a 5/8 workday at BCF allowing her to spend more time in her business.  Lizelle shortly found at the point where her rental income alone exceeded her salary. Hence she resigned from her job at BCF.

Clearly a lot has changed since 1995 and she needed the applied knowledge to empower her to stay ahead of the challenges of the property market.  Enrolling for the NQF5 diploma allowed her the opportunity to take her  business to a new level.

In August 2011 she further enrolled in a SMME programme sponsored by Lusa Community Chest.  After completing her NQF 5 qualification successfully this program propelled her to the next level of business leadership.

If you can dream it and believe…you CAN BE SUCCESSFUL!
